Quartz surfaces also called Engineered Surfaces are man made, comprising of Natural Quartz minerals combined with resin and dye. Brands of Quartz include Ceasarstone, Silestone, Pro Quartz, Cafe Quartz, Technistone, Hanstone, Enduro Quartz and many others. Because these products are man made the colours, grains and finish can be controlled giving a more standard and uniform appearance to installations. Quartz Surfaces are harder, more durable, stain and scratch resistant and less porous than Natural Stone, making it more hygienic than Natural stone. Quartz Surfaces are only suited for indoor use.
